Yesterday Lana Del Rey released 'White Mustang', the 4th video for her new album 'Lust for Life'. The Director, Rich Lee, adds yet another beautiful and captivating video to Lana's long portfolio of visual masterpieces. After watching it twice, here's my take on the story.

If you think the drone effect is call you may also like a similar effect seen in Kelly Clarkson's new video (Click here to watch)

The scene opens up with an areal view, possibly by drone, of a beautiful hill top home. The camera zooms, and as it zooms in you see Lana standing. As your eyes readjust you notice a subtle detail. The man laying on the floor, caressing her leg, and seemingly camouflaged by Lana's lower body. One could assume that Lana's position over him represents dominance, control, or power (a keepsake given to every lover in a new relationship). His hand caresses her leg, such may be a display of infatuation and his love for her.

His hands and her's will softly intertwine. She gives up her position over him to instead lay next to him on the floor as equals in love.

But his infatuation will fade. He becomes so preoccupied with his music and his career that he doesn't notice her.........but she understands.

"Everybody said you're a killer, but I couldn't stop the way I was feeling the day your record dropped".

After the record drops nothing changes. He pushes her away even more until she reaches her breaking point. It's not clear to me what the White Mustang exactly represents, but I assume it represents him and who he truly is on the inside.

"White mustang, Your white mustang, The day I saw your white Mustang, Said you're a wild Mustang, You're gonna hit me like lightening, You're gonna hit me like lightening"

I also want to point out something else in her lyric. She says "you're gonna hit me like lightening". I'm not sure if it was intended, but it could also be a hidden message behind it since a powerful force such as lightening actually doesn't make a sound.

She leaves him at the party and drives off in 1 of 2 white mustangs. In the same scene he also runs out of the party seemingly chasing her. He hops in the other mustang and drives off. At some point the 2 connect for what seems to be "one last dance". However, I get the impression that it may just be Lana thinking about good memories, because the scene cuts back and forth between them dancing and Lana driving. As I mentioned before it is never really shown where the 2 of them were going and if they were even going in the same direction. *thinking emoji*
